Chery unveiled its pair of new mid-size SUVs this week at the Chery Brand Night in Wuhu, China. The TIGGO 7 and TIGGO 7X are intended for the global market including the U.K. and are pitched for two types of customers; those looking for a family friendly SUV and those that like something more rugged and adventurous.
Chery TIGGO 7: Everyday family life
Chery listens to feedback and aims to make changes that will better suit customers needs, and the result of that is the new Chery Tiggo 7.
It’s aim is to slip comfortably into family life like a pair of dependable slippers, making commitments to ensure busy daily commutes are more relaxing and family travels are more enjoyable. Without revealing too much, Chery says that it has created a spacious and comfortable cabin made from outstanding quality materials, and world-class safety.
In other words, it should just slip into family chores with ease, plus for those family holidays, space is not at a premium.
Chery TIGGO X7: Bringing adventure into family life
And feedback is the reason that a more rugged version of the TIGGO 7 exists, which Chery says they designed it for family comfort and exploration adding the capability to handle varied road conditions with ease.
It’s perhaps pitched as more of a not-an-off roader rather than challenging it’s own sister brand iCAUR for the crown of most capable 4×4, but it could perhaps tackle rougher roads and tracks in comfort.
The message is that handling commutes, chores and family adventure holidays should be a breeze for the 7X.
Guibing Zhang, Executive Vice President of Chery Auto, said: “’For Family’ has never been just a slogan. It is the standard by which we build our vehicles and the purpose behind our commitment to serving families worldwide.”
The Chery name may still be relatively new and unknown in the U.K., but they have more than 4.55 million customers worldwide, and it knows how to adapt products for all markets. The TIGGO 7 and 7X should therefore have a familiar driving feel that’s suited for our roads.
There are no further details on specs yet, and no on-sale date.
